The 2021 NFL Schedule Reveals When Bears/Packers Rivalry Will Reignite
Dust off those cheesehead hats or bear claws, the NFL's 2021 schedule is out. Maybe, just maybe, we can finally gather together for the longest-running rivalry in professional football.
Preseason for the NFL kicks off on August 5 and throughout those weeks four weeks, our favorite teams will prep for the season. Will Aaron Rodgers be suited up for Green Bay? Will Chicago rotate between Andy Dalton and Justin Fields? Those questions remain unanswered but one thing is certain, get ready for smack talk between fans of Da Bears and Packer backers.
Fans in the Stands?
Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL, indicated fans will be stands for the entire 2021 season, according to NFL.com. This is great news.
As far as the schedule for the upcoming season, let's focus primarily on the battles between Chicago and Green Bay.
The "Important" Games
Both duels will take place on a Sunday, with the later season game scheduled to take place in front of a national audience on December 12 in Green Bay for Sunday Night Football. The earlier season game will be a noon game in Chicago.
With all the drama circulating between future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, it will be interesting to see how the season plays out, especially during these highly anticipated games.
For nearby Vikings and Lions fans, they will battle Chicago at Soldier Field on December 20 (Monday Night Football) and Sunday, October 3, respectively.
