Every week when Winnebago County Animal Services sends us pics and info about an adoptable animal at the shelter, I find myself wishing I had more room in my home for another pet. When I received the pic and background of today's Pet of the Week, Jada, that wishing I could bring her home kicked up several notches. Why? Not only is Jada GORGEOUS, but she has been waiting for well over a month to find her forever family, and that absolutely breaks my heart.

Here's what Amber Pinnon, Volunteer & Adoption Program Coordinator for Winnebago County Animal Services had to say about sweet Jada;

Hello, there! My name is Jada, I am 5 years old, and I'm more than ready to find my forever home!

I was surrendered to WCAS due to the new baby in the home causing me to feel a bit stressed. My previous family had some great things to say about me, though! I was great with the 10 year old child in the home so middle to older kids I would be okay with! I am house trained and leash trained. I know sit, and would love to show you for a treat!

My friends here at WCAS have even found me a dog friend I like to play with! The volunteers and staff are always telling me that I’m a great dog and they don’t know why I have been here so long! It’s been a little over a month and I am the longest staying dog resident. I love all the extra attention they give me, but nothing beats the love of a forever home!

WCAS Auxiliary has sponsored half of my adoption fee as part of the “Lonely Hearts Club.”

Everyone here seems to really be cheering me on to find my new family. Would you like to meet me?

I just checked WCAS' social media and website, and it looks like Jada is still available for you to adopt today, so please do that. Fill out an adoption application for Jada in advance right now at wcasrock.org.
