I don't know if the 4th of July fireworks are to blame, or just bad luck, but the cages at Winnebago County Animal Services in Rockford are nearly at their bursting point.

If you've ever considered adopting a pet, the time is now to do it! Winnebago County Animal Services isn't the only Stateline-area animal shelter that is nearing its capacity of pets to care for, but they ARE the only shelter that is hosting a discounted adoption event to help clear out their cages!

Empty the Shelters Event at Winnebago County Animal Services

Several times throughout the year Winnebago County Animal Services is blessed to be able to offer discounted adoption fees thanks to a partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, and this year's Summer Adoption event couldn't come at a better time!

Beginning this Thursday, July 14, 2022, adoption fees for select dogs and kittens at Winnebago Country Animal Services will be just $25 and $10 for adult cats!

When it comes to discounted adoption events such as this, the early bird gets the worm, as they say. Filling out an adoption application NOW at winnebagoanimals.org is the key to getting first access to adopt your new furry soul mate. You can also check out pictures and brief descriptions of their adoptable animals there too.

If now is the perfect time to welcome a new pet into your family, DO NOT WAIT.

Just look into the eyes of these beautiful animals that REALLY want to come home with you this weekend...I'm pretty sure you won't be able to tell them no.
