When visiting the Summerfield Zoo this year, expect to see some new editions.

Several new babies were born at the zoo including groundhog, porcupine, goats, reindeer and Patagonian cavies.

One of Summerfield's owners Rick Anderson told mystateline.com:

“Spring is always an exciting time here at Summerfield Zoo. The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and babies start to arrive. There are a number of new babies to meet this season: A groundhog, a North American porcupine, goats, reindeer. It’s great to see the zoo so full of new life, and of course, the babies are incredibly cute!“

Summerfield Zoo is open Saturdays 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $10 per adult, $8 per senior, and $5 per child. Since most of these animals are rescued, all proceeds go to the care of the animals.

Summerfiled Zoo is located at 3088 Flora Rd. in Belivdere.
