I'm a sucker for animals, and so are my daughters, so we spend several days each summer visiting different zoos in the area.

One of our favorite zoos to visit is Summerfield Zoo in Belvidere because it is close to home, and my girls are especially fond of the reindeer and wolves that live there. Plus they REALLY love feeding the zoo's baby goats out of bottles.

I also know, without a doubt, that once I show my girls this picture and tell them that they have the chance to help name this sweet baby, we will be making a stop at Summerfield Zoo sometime this weekend.

Help Name Summerfield Zoo's Newest Wolf Pup

The newest resident at Summerfield Zoo, (the beautiful female Gray Wolf pup pictured above), needs a name, and we need to help them come up with the perfect one.

Some of the name suggestions Summerfield Zoo has already received include:

  • Georgia
  • Mayla
  • Asha
  • Luna
  • Jasmine
  • Miracle
  • Perly
  • Polara

But...I think they need more ideas.

I looked up some other words for "gray" and I think Smoke, Ash, or Silver might be cool name choices for this beautiful pup. Also, since I name most of my pets after country singers, I would offer up Dolly or Faith too since they seem like they suit her.

What names do you have to add to the list?

One More Cool Thing to Know About Summerfield Zoo
