There's a unique town in Illinois that is nice to visit anytime of the year, but I highly recommend going there during the Halloween season.

I always felt like Illinois was a great place to celebrate Halloween. I have so many great memories from when I was a kid, as an adult, and then being a parent. I think it's a holiday that the whole family can enjoy and a great way to bond together.

If you've never been to Galena, I highly suggest going to visit there sometime very soon. It's such a neat little town. There are shops and restaurants along with a lot of history. When it comes to holidays, they really know how to do it right.
When I'm talking about the history of Galena, I'm also including ghosts. There is a lot of paranormal activity in that little town. Throw in some fun Halloween activities, and you've got the top place to visit in Illinois.
