Slash TV Concert Special To Debut on DirecTV
Back in September, Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators played three shows at iconic Sunset Strip venues the Troubadour, the Roxy and the Whiskey-a-Go-Go in celebration of Guitar Center's 50th anniversary.
The Roxy show was filmed, and the concert special 'Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators Live from the Sunset Strip' will debut on DirecTV's Audience Network (channel 239) tomorrow night (Nov. 7) at 9PM ET. Check out the trailer for the special above, while video performances of 'Nightrain' and 'Bent to Fly' can be found below.
The 90-minute show features songs from Slash's latest album 'World on Fire' along with classic tracks from Guns 'N Roses and Velvet Revolver. But that's not the only Slash feature the network is airing.
Next Thursday (Nov. 13), the documentary 'Slash: Raised on the Sunset Strip' will premiere on the same channel at 10PM ET (watch the trailer below). The 90-minute documentary combines archival and new footage that looks at Slash's career.
In addition, it includes interviews with luminaries such as Dave Grohl, Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Nikki Sixx, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler, Matt Sorum, Jerry Cantrell, Lemmy, Dave Mustaine and more.
'World on Fire' was released in September and debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The band kicks off a European tour Nov. 10, and have shows in Australia and South America scheduled for 2015. For all their tour dates, go here.
