According to The Weather Channel:

In effect from this evening through late tonight.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flash Flood Watch for a portion of North Central Illinois including the counties of Boone, Lee, Ogle and Winnebago.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon and continue into this evening across portions of North Central Illinois and will be capable of producing torrential rainfall with 2 to 3 inches of rain possible by early Tuesday morning. This amount of rainfall combined with heavy rains that fell this morning may lead to flash flooding.
