I grew up a dog person. My parents had Alaskan Malamutes from when I was a toddler until after I graduated from college and moved out. A cat bit a person in downtown Madison at the corner of Spaight Street and South Few Street on Sunday night, according to Public Health Madison & Dane County.

PHMDC said the bite occurred as the victim extended their hand towards the cat. The cat is described as an orange domestic shorthair with a dark colored collar.
