Illinois movie theater welcomes the latest and greatest technology for an amazing viewing experience.

ScreenX Finally Arrives At Illinois Movie Theater

I love going to the movie theater to see my favorite films on the big screen. That's the way flicks were made to be seen. I know streaming is convenient, but it's just not the same, especially if you have the latest and greatest technology.

The Marcus Theater in Addison is adding some of the most amazing updates for one of its screens. It's exciting that this technology has finally made its way to Illinois. Now, more than ever, I want to go to see movies on the big screen. It's called ScreenX.

According to Marcus Theaters,

SCREENX, the world's first multi-projection cinema technology, delivers a groundbreaking 270-degree panoramic viewing experience.

By extending select scenes onto the left and right walls of the auditorium, SCREENX surrounds audiences with story-enhancing visuals that can't be replicated at home.

It's funny because the first movie theater to receive this new technology was in New Berlin, Wisconsin, two years ago. I've been waiting patiently for this kind of screen to get to Illinois, and it's finally happened.

The 270-degree screen and picture make you feel like you're actually in the middle of that scene in the movie. I could imagine what an action sequence would look and feel like. It's something you'd see at an amusement but it's now in theaters.
