While 2020 has felt like getting tackled by a 300 pound NFL defensive player over and over , one Rockford man continues to run those 300 pounders over, all the way to the record books.

Rockford Lutheran's James Robinson has defied the odds, and run his way into NFL history. Sunday's game against the Titans wasn't his greatest performance stat wise, but it was yet ANOTHER amazing day in his NFL career.

The undrafted free agent for the Jacksonville Jaguars became the fasted NFL Undrafted rookie to reach 1000 yards rushing, simply amazing. Check out this video from Rockford friends and family and beyond, from the Jackson Jaguars:

So check out these stats for the Rockford native. James HAS TO BE in the talks for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year:

  • Rockford Lutheran HS: 9,045 yards, most in state history.
  • Illinois State: 4,444 rushing yards, 2nd-most in school history.
  • NFL: Fastest undrafted rookie to get to 1,000 rushing yard

ALSO, the former Rockford Lutheran Crusader has another NFL record. With 1357 yards from scrimmage, he has the most yards from an undrafted free agent since 1967!

With the Chicago Bears taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 27th, I find myself in a personal football hell. While I am a Chicago Bears fan, watching James slice and dice his way to a massive day....that would be pretty awesome.

Congrats on everything "so far" James, you are making Rockford VERY proud.
