Back when I was a kid, my grandpa made this really cool wooden tooth holder for lost teeth. You would simply put the tooth in one side and put it under your pillow, then in the morning you'd slide open the other side and there was a spot for two quarters. 50 cents. That was the going rate for a tooth when my brother and I were growing up. My how times have changed. Even the Tooth Fairy has been hit with inflation!

According to Delta Dental, who has been tracking the cost of a lost tooth since 1998, the average price for a lost tooth is $4.03!
