Movie Star Jim Carrey Making Appearance Not Far From Rockford

A very special appearance of the actor, Jim Carrey, will be happening in the suburbs of Chicago.

Jim Carrey is a very funny actor who has a long list of classic movie comedies including "Dumb and Dumber," "Cable Guy," and "Ace Venture, Pet Detective." His latest hit is "Sonic the Hedgehog."

He will be making a rare personal appearance this spring not too far from Rockford.

According to the dailyherald.com,

"Jim Carrey will be in Downers Grove to promote the release of his semi-autobiographical novel, "Memoirs and Misinformation" on May 12, at the Tivoli Theatre. The program will include a book talk, a question-and-answer session, and a moderated conversation. One of Carrey's movies will be shown after the presentation. Ticket holders will receive copies of the book, but this is not a book signing."
