After the passing of Gene Wilder, select theaters across the country will be running his most famous films for one weekend only.

When the news of a celebrity death comes across, there are very few that I stop and mourn.

Call me heartless if you will, but I don't understand it. It is not as if I know these celebrities personally. They aren't my friends or my family, they don't know me from Abraham.

Let's face it, I work in Classic Rock, a musician dies every day. You learn to become numb to it.

But, for the first time, a tiny bit of my childhood broke when I heard about the passing of Gene Wilder.

Willy Wonka is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was one of those movies that no matter when it came on the television, my sister and I would watch it.

I would love the opportunity to see Willy Wonka in the theater, because well, popcorn. Alright, also because the best way to see a movie.

Select theaters across the country will be showing Willy Wonka and Blazing Saddles in theaters for one weekend only.

Lucky for us, Rockford Showplace 16 will be showing them both this weekend!
