Rockford Teacher Jim Duhigg Retires After Nearly 50 Years

After almost 50 years teaching the youth of Rockford, Jim Duhigg has retired.

If you have been part of the Rockford Public School District 205, chances are you have had Jim Duhigg as a teacher. It's also possible that your parents had Mr. Duhigg as a teacher as well!

I can't imagine having the same job for almost 50 years! Very few can say that, let alone a teacher in the same school district.

According to WREX, Jim Duhigg has taught Kindergarten and on to 5th grade classes, adult education and even G.E.D. courses. He has touched an incredible amount of lives in the Rockford area.

Yesterday, 71-year-old Jim celebrated with fellow colleagues and friends his retirement after 48 years.
