According to Go Rockford...
From its headwaters in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, all the way to the Mississippi River at Rock Island, Illinois, the Rock River provides a multitude of recreational opportunities, scenic beauty, and historic and cultural assets.
We are really lucky in Rockford to have the Rock River run through the middle of our city. It really adds to the scenery of the area and makes for some amazing pictures. Also, think about all those great activities like boating, kayaking, water skiing, fishing, swimming, and so much more. I think it's an asset that many people take for granted and don't use enough.

One thing I do every day after I get off of work is go for a walk. I throw on my headphones, listen to some good tunes, and go to my happy place. My favorite path to walk is along the Rock River at the Sinnissippi Riverfront Park. I start at the Jefferson Street Bridge and go to the Auburn Street Bridge. In between, I see so many interesting sights. Recently, I decided to document some of those things I see regularly. Check out my photos below.
