Rockford Public Library Branches Are Reopen with New Guidelines
Like a lot of businesses, the Rockford Public Library closed its branches due to COVID-19, but as of Tuesday, July 7th, they are once again open for business. Just with some new guidelines.
As you might suspect, a face covering or mask will be required to enter the library and only 50 people can be inside at a time. They also ask that you social distance.
The meeting rooms will not be reopening at this time and some furniture has been sectioned off to let folks know not to linger.
Make sure to bring your library card or reciprocal library card number so you are able to check out materials.
No word yet on when the North Suburban Library District will be opening their doors, but you are able to select your materials online and then pick up. Fingers crossed it's soon too, my family and I miss our local library.
