A movie about America's first serial killer, H.H. Holmes will show at Veteran's Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 16.

The Rockford Public Library Facebook account sent out an event notification inviting the public to meet John Borowski who created the documentary H.H. Holmes: America's First Serial Killer.

The public is invited to meet and greet Borowski prior to the screening of his documentary, and there will be a Q & A after. He will also have his books and other films for sale.

At the height of his criminal career, the infamous Dr. H.H. Holmes designed his castle of horrors in Chicago, where he rented rooms to unsuspecting victims visiting the 1893 World's Fair. Further benefiting from his victims, Holmes sold their skeletons to local medical schools.
This incredible true story is threaded with on-location footage such as his childhood home in New Hampshire and the Philadelphia courtroom where his trial was held. A visual tour-de-force of reenactments, expert interviews, and period photography.

Borowski is working on a new project at the moment, called The John Wayne Gacy Murders to be released in 2020.
