Coronavirus fears have made their way to the place you work out.

Orangetheory Fitness, 6575 East State Rockford, emailed members to tell them they "will be putting a pause on high fives and fist bumps for the season. Additionally, instead of high fives on the way into class, your coach will be handing you a wipe."

The message also states Orangetheory has increased their cleaning protocols and will continue to do everything they can to keep the studio healthy.

Working out at Orangetheory is different from other gyms. It's a very competitive and team-based workout. Everyone is essentially doing the same thing as you so encouragement (high fives, fist bumps) is part of the routine.

Apparently, the handshake has been ixnay'd and replaced with the foot shake so why not replace the high five with a low five and just tap shoes.
