1980 - The Grateful Dead celebrated its 15th anniversary with a concert in Phoenix, Arizona.

1971 - Grand Funk Railroad sold out New York's Shea Stadium within 72 hours. That broke The Beatles' previous record.

1962 - The Beatles auditioned for George Martin and EMI's Abbey Road Studios in London.
