Rick Nielsen's connection to Rockford is very obvious. His passion for The Forrest City and the pride he has being from Rockford is seen and heard in everything he does.

Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers states in this video clip "Where is Rockford Illinois, people know Chicago, he still lives there it's who he is" , speaking about Rick.

Trickford as it's called in this video clip plays an important part in the drive and work ethic of Rick and the Cheap Trick guys. Look at touring schedule here in 2016, Cheap Trick will hit the 200+ shows mark by the end of the year, easily.

"You grew up there and it's important, it's a good thing and it's a beautiful thing because if everyone sounded like they were from New York or wherever it's cool to be from it would be boring", says Smith.

Even though the state of Illinois may have a different take on the bands importance to the city, the "Dream Police" patrol the streets of Rockford and their passion for where Rick and the guys are from is something that should be recognized.
