Rick Nielsen Expands His Guitar Collection at Mecum Auction For a Cool $215,000 (Watch)

If you've ever watched the Mecum Auctions before, it's pretty awesome. I had a buddy with a car in the auction and it was a blast to watch. There is a sense of anxiety and nervousness as you watch the prices of the items climb.

Not only are there super cool cars at Mecum, but rare guitars...ask Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. On the auction block this last time was a 1959 Les Paul guitar, owned by Geddy Lee of Rush. Rick was front and center during the auction and now owns this beauty. I wonder if Rick know how many guitars he actually owns, doubt it. Check this out:
