REO Speedwagon Honored in Chicago as The Best in Illinois?

REO Speedwagon has been recognized as the best musical act from Illinois. 

Now while I am partial to Cheap Trick, where do you thing rock and roll would be today without Miles Davis, or Muddy Waters?

It's a nice recognition for the Illinois rockers that have sold millions of albums, but I'm willing to bet with receiving this honor, that Kevin Cronin understands the roots of it all.
