Did you ever hear one of those stories that, after you hear it, you immediately think to yourself, that's made up? Then, later, your mind is blown because you find out it really did happen. Nothing surprises me anymore.

I don't know if you would consider these two brainiacs from Illinois dumb criminals committing stupid crimes or just plain idiots. In my mind, I would consider them hillbillies considering what they did.

Trust me, this isn't the start of a joke. There are two men from Illinois with a gun and a bulletproof vest. Can you guess what happened next? Well, they decided to test it out, so one of them put on the vest and the other shot the gun at his friend

I'm guessing you were thinking one of them got shot and maybe even died. At least it isn't that bad. Actually, the bulletproof vest worked, and no one was hurt. I was surprised. It wasn't a completely happy ending. Their neighbors called the cops, and they were arrested.

According to NBC Chicago...

A suburban man has been arrested on felony charges after he allegedly fired a weapon at an acquaintance who was wearing a bulletproof vest.

 

Police interviewed several witnesses about the incident and obtained a search warrant, which was executed on Saturday afternoon.

 

During the search, police located two firearms, one of which had a defaced serial number. They also found a bulletproof vest, which had been hit with a projectile, officials say.
