Pumpkin Lovers Beware, There is a Pumpkin Shortage!

Stop everything you are doing and stock up on pumpkin!

Nothing screams fall more than pumpkin. From pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin yogurt and carving pumpkins, it is the epitome of autumn.

We are now reaching a pivotal point in the joy and happiness of all things pumpkin...

THERE IS A PUMPKIN SHORTAGE!

I'm writing this as I drink my delicious cinnamon spiced pumpkin latte and I'm having heart palpitations in anxiety.

According to the Daily Chronicle, there should be enough pumpkins for Halloween, but the canned pumpkin that is used in pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving may not be available. Farmers are blaming the large rain fall we had in June to washing out much of the crop.

Libby, a large canned-pumpkin manufacturer, said that yields could be off by as much as a third this year! Nooooo! Once the rest of the canned pumpkin is shipped from the 2015 harvest by Libby, there will be no more until 2016.

All I have to say is ration your pumpkin this year pumpkin lovers. Grab a pie as soon as you see it! You don't want to be the only ones without our state pie this Thanksgiving.

And yes, I'm the one in the grocery store with my cart full of pumpkin, ruining it for you all.
