Possible Ban On Drug Testing For Pot To be Hired For Job

Drug testing for marijuana to be hired for a job could be facing a possible ban.

I've had jobs that I had to take a drug test to be hired.

I can't help but wonder with the changing of weed laws throughout the United States, could the process of drug testing for jobs also change.

There's a good chance that it would.

According to fox5ny.com,

"New York City lawmakers are considering a proposal that would prohibit of drug testing by companies for marijuana as a requirement to be hired."

Even though this is not in Illinois, it does affect us. Once, one place approves the change, it won't be long before others follow.

"It would ban companies in the city from testing for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Exceptions would be made for safety and security sensitive jobs."
