If you are a fan of going to air shows, then there is definitely one you need to check out this summer in Wisconsin because it has earned top honors.

There were a few things my family would do during the summer for fun when I was growing up. Especially, if they were free or cheap because, we didn't have a lot of extra money for things like enterainment. One of those activities on the list was going to air shows. Back in those day, there were quite a lot of them in Illinois and Wisconsin. Plus, they were affordable family entertainment.

The world’s largest air show is officially the world’s greatest, as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh earned a major title courtesy of USA Today readers.

 

There is one air show up in Wisconsin that really sticks out in my memory. That's the one in Oshkosh, better known as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. It has been known as the largest air show in the world for a long time. Last year, there were over 10,000 participating aircraft at Wittman Regional Airport. Plus, over 700,000 spectators in attendance. Now, the famous event has added a new title. That is the best air show in the world. That's a pretty impressive honor.

This year, the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh will take place from July 20th to the 26th. You can go for one day, or stay the whole. Either way, there is plenty fo keep you busy. It's one of those events if you take the kids once, they want to go. There is so much going on that it will actually keep their attention the whole time. I suggest checking it out this summer.
