The opening day has been announced for the Marvel Universe Exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

When I was a kid, I was a big fan of comic books and cartoons. I did not hate DC Comics, but I did lean more towards Marvel Comics. They have some of my favorite characters including Captain American, Iron Man, and Spiderman.

In the beginning, the movies were not great. They were pretty cheesy. Then the Marvel Universe was born. They took it to the next level. Every time a new movie comes out, it is a really big deal. I have to go see it opening weekend. I know when I am channel surfing, there will probably be at least one of those flicks on to keep me entertained.

Since I am a little too old for action figures and toys, I enjoy going to places where there is a superhero theme. Six Flags Great America features DC and Disney World has Marvel.

I have been to several special exhibits at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. They are always amazing. The last one I saw was Sesame Street and The Muppets. It was awesome. That is why I got so excited when I found out their next one will feature the Marvel Universe. I will definitely be going to see that one.

From the Museum of Science and Industry Facebook page...

"Marvel: Universe of Super-Heroes celebrates more than 80 years of the Marvel Universe and features more than 300 artifacts including some of Marvel’s most iconic costumes, props, and original art. We can’t wait for you to check it out!"
