One of America’s ‘Most Beautiful Beaches’ is in Illinois

I know it's the middle of April but I've already got my eye on chilling on a beach somewhere, anywhere.

Lucky for me (and you if you're into beautiful beaches) there's one of the best in America in Illinois.

I guess I never considered we'd actually have one of the best beaches in America, but when you think about Lake Michigan there's a chance.

Still, though, California, Hawaii, and Florida are home to some of the best beaches not only in America but the world, so I got a little bit more pessimistic.

However, when I stumbled upon Attractions of America, I discovered the popular travel blog came through big time and included a beach located in The Land of Lincoln.

Of course, it is located on Lake Michigan, and yes, you've probably heard of this place before.

If your getaway idea is to relax while taking in the stunning city views, look no further than North Avenue Beach in Chicago.

 

This is an excellent option for those who love city life or maybe even want to visit Chicago but don't want to miss out on those sunny summer days by the water.

 

It should come as no surprise when this gets called by locals and tourists alike, one of the most beautiful beaches in the USA.

North Avenue Beach used to be a hotspot for Beach Volleyball. The AVP pro tour used to roll through North Avenue back in the day but it appears they have moved to Oak Street Beach in Chicago.
