Old Illinois School Features School AND Romantic Themed Rooms?

Trust me, I'm just as confused as you are.

When I am traveling, I like to stay in unique places. Whether that means a cool hotel or an Airbnb that really stands out from the rest. However, I've never thought to stay in an old school building. It's actually pretty common that old school houses get turned into other things like places to say.

The Davie School Inn in Illinois did just that. But I have to admit, I'm kind of confused. I can't figure out what the vibe of this place is. Most places fall into a couple of categories. There are places that are family-friendly where you can bring your kids. But then there are places that are a little more geared towards couples. This place feels like both?

Here's the quote that's got me confused -

Come stay in one of our 8 historic schoolhouse classroom subject-themed suites or 3 romantic luxury suites.

It's like opposite sides of the spectrum. You've got school, then you've got sexy. And then rooms are very fitting with the themes.

So I'm assuming this is one of the more romantic themed suites -

And then I'm assuming this is one of the school-themed rooms.

I just think it's hilarious that the two things that are supposed to draw in customers are so very opposite. All of their rooms and suites are categorized by color. They also have some rooms that seem like they fall in between the themes and are just average rooms. But of course, the cool part is that you're staying in an old schoolhouse.
