North Carolina Wrestler Dominates Boys to Become First Ever Female State Champion
Heaven Fitch became the first girl to win a NCHSAA individual wrestling state championship last weekend. She beat Luke Wilson for the championship in the 106-pound weight class.
Fitch told local news "I kind of dominated the match if I'm being honest."
The high school senior finished the 2019 season in the fourth place position for the state. She ended this season with a 54-4 record, the championship, and won the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award.
