Nominate A Veteran To Be Honored During Illinois Bicentennial

Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for two hundred Illinois Veterans to be honored during the Illinois Bicentennial celebration.

This is a big year for the state of Illinois as it will be celebrating its bicentennial with a huge celebration.

According to www2.illinois.gov,

"In partnership with the Illinois Bicentennial Office, the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs will honor the work of 200 Veterans from across the State whose contributions are above and beyond the call of duty. Nominations will be evaluated on their achievements and on the extent to which their contributions have aided, benefited and provided inspiration to their community." 

If you know someone who you think should be honored, please nominate them now. The deadline is August 31st.
