Yes, the most popular streaming service is getting more money from users at the start of the next billing cycle.

Netflix said in January they would be increasing prices for all users and next month it'll be official. The slight increase will allow Netflix to add more movies and more television shows, according to WQAD.

Netflix has been investing heavily in original content. It budgeted $8 billion for new shows and movies in 2018, the company announced when it reported third-quarter earnings in 2017.

Don't panic about prices yet because it'll only be $1 or $2 more a month, depending on the subscription.

The email to subscribers is a reminder that each of Netflix’s plans in the United States will increase between $1 to $2. The price of the basic plan will rise from $8 to $9 per month, the standard plan that includes HD streaming on two devices will go from $11 to $13 per month, and the price of its premium plan will increase from $14 to $16.

One expert from CNN said people will continue to pay whatever the subscription fee as long as Netflix keeps providing the content. As a Netflix subscriber, I would agree, unless they pull The Office...
