I was driving out during lunch yesterday and turned down Chelsea. That's just a couple of blocks down the street from the station, and I drive on that stretch of road a few times a week. So I was shocked when I saw what was a chalk outline on the roadway. Right in the middle of the road.

I guess I was being dramatic, because it was just a bike lane symbol. But it was in the middle of the whole road. Usually you see them along the side where regular folks and the ones who dress up like Lance Armstrong can ride near the curb cruising at 11 m.p.h.

I called the Rockford Streets Department and spoke with Traffic Engineer Jeremy Carter. At 00:47 you will hear why Jeremy is an engineer and I am a DJ.
