More Rockford Cops Coming Thanks to Federal Grant
More Rockford Police Officers will soon be ready to protect and serve.
The Rockford City Council approved and will pay 280,000 dollars to help support these officers. The federal grant will pay about 650,000 dollars, which will employ five more officers for three years.
Before this federal grant Rockford could employ up to 297, now the number of officers jumps to 302.
