Children in Chicago still enjoy getting a souvenir from Mold-A-Rama machines at area attractions.

When I was growing up, I would get excited when my parents took me to Brookfield Zoo. Of course, I loved seeing all the different animals, but there was something else that I looked forward to most. That was getting a Mold-A-Rama toy.

Those machines were so awesome. I got to watch my figurine actually being made. It even came out still warm. Do you remember the smell?

Now, I take my daughter places and get her one.

It's hard to believe that they are actually still around.

According to wgntv.com,

"The last Mold-A-Rama machine was made in the 60s, but one family has kept them working for decades and turned them into a Chicago icon."

Here's a video about these unique contraptions.
