Mold-A-Rama is Still Alive and Smelling Great Thanks to Chicago Company

"Mold-A-Rama" takes me back to my childhood, I can still smell those things!

Mold-A-Rama, what great memories. Nothing says I spent the day at an area zoo like bringing home these animal molds. For seventy-five cents you could collect a zebra, an ape, a tiger, all in one solid color and an amazing smell.

According to Atlas Obscura a Chicago based company still presses out these amazing collectibles 50 years later.

I can remember the Milwaukee County Zoo having these machines, as well as Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry and the Brookfield Zoo. These machines are all over the midwest in 2018 with 62 machines that can be found at Willis Tower, and also the Field Museum.
