The first one that comes to mind is the original Mike Ditka's Restaurant in downtown Chicago. It was always busy during the 1980s era of the Bears. Celebrities were eating there all the time. Unfortunately, it's been closed for several but there are a few other successful locations throughout the city and suburbs.

There was one celebrity-owned restaurant that exploded on the scene. That was Michael Jordan's restaurant in downtown Chicago. It didn't when you went there, you always had to wait in line to be seated. Unfortunately, the original location closed down several years ago.

Michael Jordan's Restaurant came back a few years ago in a couple of different locations. The place in Oak Brook just announced that it will be closing down for good on December 21st. I'm sad to see it permanently go away.

I was lucky enough to eat there a couple of years ago. The food was really good. There was no reason given for why the restaurant was closing. This is your last chance to check out the place before it's gone forever.
