Meijer Announces Opening Dates

Meijer's opening has been highly anticipated and now we finally know when we can shop there.

Meijer has finally released the opening date for their two new stores in both Rockford and Machesney Park.

May 19th will be the big day!

There will be leaders from both Meijer and local dignitaries that will mark the first day of business with a ribbon cutting ceremony at each store, according to RockRiverTimes.com.

I've always wanted to use the huge scissors to do a ribbon cutting ceremony, maybe this will be my chance! You think they will let me do it? Doubtful, but I could try.

The big scissors and fancy ribbon isn't the only thing they will be doing. Meijer will also feature special promotions and events to celebrate the opening starting on May 21.
