A man in Nottingham, England is jailed after beating his friend to death over a Facebook 'poke.'

Why there is an option to 'poke' someone on Facebook is something I just don't know. It can be thought of as a way to flirt with someone, remind them that they haven't commented on your latest selfie or who knows what else. I suppose it is up to your own interpretation.

According to mirror.co.uk a man across the pond has been jailed for killing his friend over a Facebook poke to his girlfriend.

Richard Rovetto, a father of one, sent a Facebook poke to Scott Humphrey's girlfriend. Scott found out and after a bachelor party and started an argument in a taxi cab.

Scott asked Richard, "If you're such a good friend why did you poke my missus?" and a fight broke out.

Scott punched Richard in the face which gave him a good nose bleed. From there, he then delivered the fatal blow causing Richard's head to hit the pavement.

Richard ended up dying in the hospital due to his extensive head injuries.

Scott has been charged with admitted manslaughter and is jailed for four years and four months.

Personally I feel that the sentence is quite light. Scott killed someone! Do you think the sentence should be different? Let me know in the comments below.
