An exhibit featuring the mischievous cartoon monkey, Curious George is coming to the Discovery Center Museum in Rockford this weekend.

I've never been much of a reader, but one of my favorite books as a kid was "Curious George." I guess I really enjoyed the fact that he would get himself into trouble. I could relate to that.

Of course, who didn't like his friend, "The Man In The Yellow Hat," that always seemed to have to get George out of his curious situations.

When my daughter was little, she had a "Curious George" stuff animal that she took everywhere. I kept my copy of the books from when I was a kid to give to her. We watched the show on PBS and even went to go see the movie.

I'm very excited that there is a Curious George exhibit coming to town. I just hope she's not too old now to go with me to see it.

"Curious George Let's Get Curious" is coming to the Discovery Center Museum from January 27th through May 13th.

"Based on the familiar characters in H.A. and Margret Rey’s classic stories, take a trip to the neighborhood where Curious George lives with his friend, The Man in the Yellow Hat. You and your children will recognize familiar characters and places featured in the classic stories and the television series on PBS KIDS."
