Local Places to Take Your Christmas Tree

Time to break it all down and put a "wrap" n Christmas.

The lights, that silly elf, all the Christmas decorations are coming down soon if you haven't done so already.

According to WIFR here are a list of Christmas Tree recycling spots in our area.

In Rockford

Loves Park

Machesney Park

Cherry Valley

Rockton

• Rockton Boat Ramp parking area, 830 E. Main St.

It's key to remember that you have everything removed from the tree, no ornaments, garland, or tinsel. Keep your tree stands at home too.

In addition to the trees, any left over Christmas cookies can be dropped off at The Eagle during regular business hours.
