We have been traveling to some great little towns around the Rockford area. Recently, we took a road trip to Clinton, Wisconsin. It was my first visit to that area.

What Is "The LOT - Lightning Outdoor Theatre"

The LOT is the creation of "Pogo," the owner of Boxcars Pub and Grub. He is a huge fan of live music and entertainment. In fact, he is a musician himself.

He started by hosting bands and comedians in his bar. Unfortunately, the capacity is pretty small. That is when he decided to build a bigger location for the shows. He wanted to do something special for his community, so he opened this amazing outdoor venue.

"The LOT" Is Something Special

Being without concerts for so long, I think I appreciate live music so much more than I ever have.

I understand that "The LOT" is not Alpine Valley and bands like Kiss are not playing there but that is not a bad thing. This is something unique for this small Wisconsin town.

It is an incredible place to watch performances. It has a great lawn to sit and enjoy a show. The sound is very good. Plus, maybe you can check out some new talent. There are not many places like this around.
