Legendary rock band KISS will make a tour stop Aug. 20 at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford.

The Rockford Area Venues and Entertainment Authority announced the concert today.

The venue started teasing the announcement on social media earlier this week with a video featuring the Rockford IceHogs mascot and Rockford mayor Larry Morrissey in traditional KISS face paint.

The band's Rockford stop is part of its Freedom To Rock Tour.

Tickets for the show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday through the BMO Harris Bank Center box office, Ticketmaster.com or by calling 815-968-5222.
