If you asked me, I would say the word I hate hearing is "decent" or "that's decent."  Why so specific, you ask?  My ex would ALWAYS say "that's decent" every time he wasn't actually listening to something I'd say and it would make me sooooo angry.

Actually, one of my favorite words we've made up in this state is "Illinoyed." It's funny, clever, and a term that can be used in any situation where you're feeling irritable.

Please, it's spelled c-h-i-p-o-t-l-e.  Say it wrong one time and don't think I won't call you out about it!

#2: EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZEY

Not sure why this one rubs me the wrong way, but it's faster to just say "it's easy."

#3: IT IS WHAT IT IS

This could be used in so many different ways.  I've mainly seen it be used negatively in conversation to let someone know they just have to "deal with it."

#4: EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Say this to someone who had a loved one pass away.  See how well that conversation goes over then report back to me.
