A few weeks ago, a friend asked if I knew of any places around Wisconsin / Illinois Stateline area that served ridiculous oversized and over-stuffed Bloody Marys.

I didn't know any right off the top of my head but I knew I could find a good place for him to check out.

Biggest and Best Bloody Marys in Wisconsin

Not too long ago I had written about southern Wisconsin restaurants that have been featured on the Food Network and while looking at the Facebook pages of these different joints, I remembered seeing a photo of a giant Bloody Mary that had an entire, still intact, fried chicken.

I started taking a closer look at this pub and grill and quickly realized I'd found an easy-to-fall-in-love-with place that serves exactly the kind of ridiculous oversized and over-stuffed Bloody Marys he was looking for, and it's just a 90-minute drive from Rockford.

And wait until you see the burgers they're grilling at this place.

The original Sobelmans is located at 1900 W. St. Paul Avenue. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw photos of food that I could smell and taste immediately, just looking at it. I actually got a little hangry that I can't eat one of these burgers right now.

I'm not a fan of Bloody Marys, but my friends are and I'm more than happy to help any of them eat all the 'EXTRA' things that you can get along with the drink.
