According to a post on the Illinois State Fair's Facebook page, they are currently looking to add performers to this year's lineup. On the page they say...

"Got Talent? Check this out! This is your chance to perform at the 2023 Illinois State Fair. We're looking for musicians, jugglers, dancers, magicians, and other entertainers who want to grow their audience and take their acts to the next level. Applications accepted through February 28!"

I looked over the application form and they give you a bunch of different music options to choose from if you are a musician, everything from bluegrass to hard rock. And they are looking for unique acts as well, the application asks if your act includes juggling, hypnosis, animals, acrobats, magic, and more. To see the application or to apply click here!

These acts they are looking for are for the Free Stages at the Illinois State Fair, if you have been to the fair before then you'll remember the free stages are Village of Cultures, Main Street, Apex, Lincoln, and Grand Central. The Illinois State Fair also wants anyone applying to know that the state fair will only be providing admission and parking for band members, so I am unsure as to whether these are paying gigs or not, my guess is not...
