Chicago Hosts The Number 2 Rated Thanksgiving Parade In The United States

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays of the year. When I think about that holiday the things that immediately pop into my mind are food, football, and parades. I've got some great memories.

My schedule hasn't changed much over the years. I wake up and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade followed by three football games. Of course, there's plenty of tasty food mixed in too. Maybe, even a short nap.

As a kid, I loved the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's still on my bucket list to attend in person someday. That's the most famous and best Thanksgiving Day Parade of all time but there are other good ones too.

Did you know there's a big Thanksgiving Parade in Illinois? In fact, it's rated the 2nd best in the United States. No one can compare to the one in New York City because they set the standard but the one in the Windy City can bring it too.

It's a great way to kick off the holiday season with the family. I do have to warn you, if you want to attend the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade you're going to have to be up very early and prepare for a long day,

The parade starts at 8am and runs 3 hours until 11am. That's a really long parade. Plus, you'll have to dress warmly because it gets chilly in the Windy City but you will enjoy the unique event with your whole family.
