A Chicago man says he did the unthinkable when he discovered alleged squatters in his property: He decided to move in with them.
Marco Velazquez is the owner of a South Side property, which is on the market to be sold. He says his realtor came by with a potential buyer, but there were already people inside.

It doesn't seem possible, but an experienced squatter can steal your home right from under you. The police can't do much. Really, your only choice is to fight it in civil court, but that can take months to resolve.
A victim in Illinois tried to battle squatters by moving in with them, but unfortunately, that didn't work. He decided to only reasonable way to get rid of them is to pay them off. The man ended up paying the squatters $4,300 to leave and it worked. Doesn't it seem like there should be a better solution to this problem?
