Illinois Named 7th Most Sinful State and We Totally See Why

We've got problems in Illinois, we knew this, but we didn't realize we were so high on the 'sinful' list.

Wallethub is full of lists and this week Wallethub is home to '2018's Most Sinful States in America.'

The sinfulness is based on seven categories: 'Anger & Hatred,' 'Jealousy,' 'Excesses & Vices,' 'Greed,' 'Lust,' 'Vanity,' and 'Laziness.'

Each state was ranked 1-50 for each category and then averaged out to find the most 'sinful.'

While I would have picked California or Nevada for the top spot, turns out Florida is the winner here, mostly for their 'Jealously' ranking of #1 and 'Vanity' ranking of #4.

The 'Sinful' State top ten states include:

1. Florida
2. California
3. Nevada
4. Texas
5. Georgia
6. Tennessee
7. Illinois
8. Michigan
9. Arkansas
10. Louisiana
